Accessibility Service
Updated: October 22, 2026
Stopododo optionally uses Android AccessibilityService for one feature only: the advanced full-screen filter.
Why does this feature exist?
On some Android devices, a standard screen overlay cannot cover certain protected system areas. When the user voluntarily enables the advanced full-screen filter, the Accessibility Service can display the filter over additional areas when the system permits it.
What Stopododo does not do
- Stopododo does not read the content of your windows or apps.
- Stopododo does not analyse your messages, typing or actions.
- Stopododo does not record your screen.
- Stopododo does not perform automated actions in other apps.
- Stopododo does not transmit screen content to a server.
The service is configured with canRetrieveWindowContent=false.
Voluntary activation
This feature is disabled by default. Before activation, Stopododo explains its purpose in the app. The user must then enable the service manually in Android Accessibility settings and can disable it at any time.
Stopododo’s standard filter remains available without Accessibility Service. Accessibility is required only for the optional advanced filter chosen by the user.
